Betty Jo Lattire, age 82, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2017. Known as “Nanny”, she was a force of nature and larger than life to those who knew and loved her. She was spirited, independent assertive and feisty, and was very generous with everyone, whether family or friends.

Betty Jo worked as a caregiver and companion to many in their residence or nursing home and was loved by all for her outgoing and charismatic personality. That personality lent itself well to the many parties and trips to Vegas she enjoyed.

She had a love for jewelry and high heels and a well developed fashion sense which often made her the best dressed person in any room she entered. Betty Jo also had an interest in the spiritual side and was drawn to angels. She also enjoyed walking her dogs, and all animals in general, growing plants with her green thumb, playing Sudoku and although she wasn’t athletic herself, she enjoyed watching tennis and golf on television.

Nanny will be deeply missed and always loved by her daughter Joni (Jerry) Lang, grandchildren Toni (Matt) Juenger, Julie Baxter, Alexander and Gabriel Lang, Terri (Bill) Wilson, Joe (Michelle) Wilson, great grandchildren Olivia, Anna, Charlotte and Evelyn Juenger, Madalynn, Nicholas and Henry Baxter, Shelby Matthews and a multitude of friends.

A celebration of life will take place 5-8 PM, Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Craver-Riggs Funeral Home and Crematory.
