Inez Ruth Groat (nee Sturgis), age 84, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Inez was the loving wife of the late James William Groat Sr. Loving mother of James William Groat Jr., (Lynda), Mary Deininger, Donna Schuetz (Joseph), and Patricia Burns (James). Beloved grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Inez proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. She really enjoyed horse racing, bingo, reading, and sewing.

Visitation will take place on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Saint Timothy Church 10272 US-42, Union, KY 41091. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, in Ft. Mitchell.
