John "Jack" Thorburn, 85, of Hebron, formerly of Ludlow, died Wednesday, October 6, at the Florence Park Care Center in Florence, KY.

He was an Engineer Assistant for the Baldwin Piano Company. John served our country in the U.S. Army and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Burlington, KY, the Kehoe Council Knights of Columbus, the St. Vincent DePaul Society, a Volunteer at St. Charles Care Center, served as an Eucharistic Minister and Lector and was a former member of Sts. Boniface & James Church in Ludlow, KY for 50 years .

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Middendorf Thorburn; sons, John (Beth) Thorburn of Cincinnati, OH, David (Krista) Thorburn of Hebron, KY; daughters, Teresa (Peter) Manczyk of Taylor Mill, KY, Kathleen Ford of Naperville, IL; sister, Patricia Schraer of Dublin, OH, and six grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Margaret Thorburn (1959).
