Robert James Gosney, born on January 31, 1947, in Dayton, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly on September 23, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Edgewood in Kentucky. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Robert pursued a successful career as the Engineering Manager at PureStream, where his leadership and dedication made a significant impact in the field. He graduated from Northern Kentucky University, a milestone that marked the beginning of a fruitful professional journey.

In addition to his professional achievements, Robert proudly served in the Navy, demonstrating his commitment to his country and his fellow citizens. His sense of duty and discipline influenced not only his career but also his personal life.

Robert was a man of many interests. He was passionate about fishing and found joy in his elaborate model train collection, a hobby that brought endless delight to his grandchildren, who loved visiting his home to marvel at the intricate displays. Alongside this, he enjoyed reading, which allowed him to explore countless worlds and ideas. He also enjoyed walking the dogs at the Boone County Kennel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Faye, and step-son David Bruder (April). Robert is also survived by his daughters, Amy Schultz (Jamie) and Melissa Heeke (Matt), along with his nephew, Russ Harper. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Brooke ,Wesley and Quentin Bruder; Rylee, Aiden and Brady Schultz; Jacob Heeke, and many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, Fulton and Hallie Gosney, and his sisters, Louise Harper and Mary Lee Gosney. Their memories remain alive in the hearts of those he left behind.

Visitation will be held on September 28, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Timothy in Union, Kentucky, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Following the Mass there will be a celebration of life. Family and friends are invited to come together to remember Bob and celebrate his life.
