Ruth Ann Switzer, a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, at the age of 80, in Burlington, KY. Born on November 12, 1944, in Covington, KY, Ruth Ann's life was characterized by her loving, kind, and thoughtful nature, which left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Her early years in Covington set the stage for a life filled with love, family, and a dedication to her community. She was a cherished daughter to her late parents, William and Laura (nee' New) Cox, and a sister to her many siblings. Though preceded in death by her brothers, William, Alvin, Ronald, Donald, Robert, Chuck, and her sisters Billie, Wilma, Wanetta Marks, Wanda Cook, and an infant sister, her spirit of unity and kinship remained a guiding force throughout her life.
Ruth Ann's professional journey as an administrative assistant in the building products industry was marked by her diligent work ethic and her ability to nurture relationships with colleagues and clients alike. She found great joy and fulfillment in her role, especially when working alongside her son, Joe, where her personal touch and attention to detail were deeply appreciated.
Above all, Ruth Ann's heart belonged to her family. She is survived by her loving daughters: Pam Masur (Lou), Paula DeZarn (Joe); Kristi Arrasmith (Jeremy), and her son Joe Switzer (Angie); and her adored grandchildren: Laura, Nick, Jake, Molly, Tommy, Maci, Nolan, and Nathan. She is also survived by her former husband, Richard Switzer. Ruth Ann's legacy also lives on through her numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Ruth Ann's zest for life was evident in her many interests and hobbies. She had a passion for dancing, which would often find her twirling and stepping with grace and joy. Her hands were skilled in the art of ceramics, creating beauty through her craft. Bowling nights were a source of laughter and camaraderie, while her culinary skills brought comfort and delight to family gatherings. A fan of western shows, she could be found cheering on her favorite cowboys and recalling the simpler times they represented.
However, Ruth Ann's greatest joy was found in the time spent with her grandchildren and family. Whether it was a holiday celebration, a casual visit, or a moment of quiet conversation, she cherished every second with her loved ones. Her example of unconditional love and her commitment to family unity will continue to inspire those she has left behind.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 9 AM until time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 10272 US Hwy 42 Union, KY. Followed by interment in the Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell. Alliance Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
