Glenn Robert Taylor, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025, at the age of 78 in Florence, Kentucky. Born on June 26, 1946, in Covington, Kentucky, Glenn's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, his community, and his many passions.
Glenn was preceded in death by his father, James Taylor, and his mother, Mary Taylor. Predeceased by his late wife, Maxine Taylor, of whom he spent many devoted years with.
He is survived by their two daughters, Jill Taylor and Judy Taylor. He has left behind a legacy of love and loyalty to his beloved wife, Patricia Taylor, and their family. He is also survived by his stepchildren Missy Ward (Shawn Ward), Scott Wilson (Dee Wilson), Jamie Hampton (Scott Hampton), and Joy Mullins, who will forever cherish the memories they created with him. Glenn was also a guiding light to his six siblings, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will miss his presence deeply.
A man of many talents, Glenn was often referred to as a "Jack of all trades" and a "Human GPS" for his remarkable ability to navigate and excel in various fields. His career was as diverse as his skills, having served his community as a firefighter, and worked in HVAC, sheet metal, and fabrication. His work ethic and dedication to his craft were evident to all who knew him.
Glenn's interests were as broad as his expertise. He had a passion for traveling, always eager to explore new places and experience different cultures. Fishing was another of his favorite pastimes, providing him with moments of tranquility and a chance to connect with nature. Above all, Glenn cherished spending time with his family, creating lasting memories that they will hold dear for years to come.
An active member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, Glenn's faith was a cornerstone of his life. His commitment to his church community was demonstrated through his involvement and volunteer work, including his service as a volunteer firefighter. His selflessness and willingness to help others were hallmarks of his character.
